Missed out during the last PS5 restock? We're here to help you get prepared for the next one so you can finally get your hands on the next-gen console.

We've all heard about the ongoing graphics card shortages that have blighted tech companies, but it's clear this problem has hit the industry hard.

With players desperate to snap up the console, and scalpers gobbling up stock to sell on, we're hoping for better news in 2022 so that everyone can enjoy some of the biggest games like God of War: Ragnarok, Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West, and Ghostwire: Tokyo.

Since its release back in November 2020, we've seen units from GAME, Amazon, Very, Currys, AO, Argos, ShopTo, and John Lewis, and these will likely be the main websites you'll be able to find new stock (if it ever arrives).

Although there are alternative sites like eBay, StockX, Smyths, The Game Collection, and even EE and BT that might offer some salvation, you will need to be a customer with the latter two, while some of the others are charging higher prices in bundles.

The standard PS5 console (including a disc drive for the physical gamers among you) should cost £449.99 RRP, and the PS5 Digital Edition, which loses the disc drive for a totally online experience, has a £359.99 RRP.

We wouldn't encourage you to expect too many discounts or deals this year, but there are a few offers to help you get your first next-gen game for a slightly cheaper price or maybe a cool new hat to go along with your shiny new toy. No, seriously.

So if you're still looking for a PlayStation 5, check out the top offers below, and if there aren't any in stock, keep this page tabbed to find out when new units are dropping.

      Best PlayStation 5 deals

We know that looking at the above list makes for sad reading considering that most retailers are completely out, charging higher prices with bundles, or asking you to sign up for other services.

But stay strong, gamers, we'll be continually updating this article with all the latest news. For now, you can check out a few of our other articles to help you get your gaming setup ready ahead of time.

          VERY.co.uk - PS5 in stock

          PS5 Disc Console

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is available for £44.99 right now, or get Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart going for £59.99 (down from £69.99). A full rundown of all the available games can be found here, with the likes of FIFA 22, Call of Duty Vanguard, and Far Cry 6 all in stock.

            eBay - PS5 in stock

You could check out eBay to get your Sony console, though we'd advise you to head over there with caution, as the consoles are on sale for inflated prices, generally upwards of £500, however, some sellers will be charged the usual fees which will be deducted from their returns.

Prices will vary quite drastically so keep in mind that the RRP for the PS5 is £449 for the disc model and £349 for the all-digital edition. You should definitely read the reviews and only stick to reputable sellers, but this has been the place to find the most consistent stock throughout 2021 and into 2022.

            BT - PS5 in stock

Similarly to EE, you can purchase a PS5 console and bundles by signing up to become a BT Broadband customer. At the time of writing, consoles are available in bundles with extra items such as controllers and headsets for £499.99.

However, this would mean adding a 24-month broadband subscription into the equation, which at the time of writing is £28.99 per month. New or existing customers can then get a code to access the purchase of the PS5, however, be warned that the volume of customers trying to buy can still be quite high.

            EE - PS5 in stock

Not usually the kind of place you'd expect to find PS5 stock, EE occasionally have some units available on a pay-monthly basis to existing customers, so long as you have a contract already.

It's only on a monthly-bill type deal, so you can't buy the console in full upfront, but you'll be spreading costs over a 12-month period. Depending on the tariff you go for, this means you could be paying between £506 and £560 in total over a year alongside your phone contract, so keep that in mind if you're on a budget.

PS5 Disc Drive + Digital Horizon Forbidden West + Additional Controller

There is plenty of additional gadgets and gear you can add to your contract with EE including smart speakers, headphones, smartwatches, and TVs, but again, you must already be a paying customer to get access.

GAME - PS5 out of stock

In previous stock drops you could get the all-digital version on its own for £359.99 or the regular edition for £449.99, or pre-order the bundled offers. As well as bundles with Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, plus a PlayStation hat, T-shirt, and extra controller for £596.95.

Currys - PS5 out of stock

Now PS5 consoles are in stock here at the moment, but elsewhere the media remote, which is great for when you are streaming Netflix or Sky Sports on your console, is ready to buy for £24.99. If you want to start streaming, the HD webcam can be yours for £49.99, or the DualSense controller for £59.99.

                StockX - PS5 in stock

Not a website that we're particularly familiar with, but StockX does seem to have PS5 consoles in stock. They're a bit similar to eBay or Amazon in that they have private sellers on the site, but for sought-after collectables such as trainers and trading cards.

They have a verification process, and fluctuating stock market price, so you're paying the competitive value at the time in theory. Overall, they have a 3.8 score on TrustPilot, and you can read more about how they work here. All this still means inflated prices, with consoles selling between £550-780.

                OnBuy - PS5 in stock

OnBuy is another private marketplace, this one launched in 2016 and has a score of 4.7 on TrustPilot, however, they promise to put buyers and sellers in touch without aiming to sell their own products themselves. As with eBay and StockX the prices are still inflated, with PS5 consoles ranging between £628.95 for a disc edition, and £588 for a digital edition.

The Game Collection - PS5 out of stock

The Game Collection, as you might have guessed, is a gaming retail website and has been shortlisted for awards as an independent video game. This one launched back in 2005 and currently has a 4.7 rating on TrustPilot.

Sadly the website's PS5 prices are still quite high, however, they're unique in that their bundles generally come with between five to eight games, including the likes of Elden Ring, Fortnite The Last Laugh, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Watch Dogs Legion, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Resident Evil Village, Rather and Clack Rift Apart.

                AO.com - PS5 out of stock

AO is also telling us there isn't any stock available right now, but there have been some unit drops throughout the past year. You can, of course, buy the usual accessories for similar prices elsewhere, so you can kit out your gaming hub before your console arrives.

For example, Demon's Souls, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and FIFA 22, you can take a look at all the PS5 games available here.

Amazon - PS5 out of stock

As you'd expect, Amazon was offering up the PlayStation 5 for the regular asking price of £449 at launch, but when you search for the PS5 on the website, it says "currently unavailable". The same can be said for the more affordable all-digital edition, which is also out of stock. You can grab some deals on PS5 games and PS5 controllers as part of Amazon Prime Day 2022.

In fact, the only PS5-related stuff you can buy is games and accessories like the Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut for £54.99 or FIFA 22 for £27.85. We haven't got any news of any stock updates in early 2022, but save this page to check up again later.

John Lewis - PS5 out of stock

It's a similar story over at John Lewis, which is reporting no stock on the digital or standard edition of the console. The only alternative you can buy right now is a few games or a few accessories like the HD webcam or the 3D headset.

If you’ve already got a PS5 and want one of those fancy new coloured DualSense controllers, John Lewis is one of the only retailers we've found currently stocking them. The standard white controller is £56.99 while the snazzy Cosmic Red version is £64.99.

We don't anticipate any more PlayStation 5 units arriving soon, but if you've got a John Lewis voucher or just prefer shopping with them, it's good to know you can still pick up a few gaming bits from here.

Argos - PS5 out of stock

Clicking on either the digital or regular PS5 on Argos' website will lead you to a page that tells you both are unavailable right now – boooo.

Elsewhere, you can still pick up some Sony peripherals like the remote control, a DualSense controller, or a few games. And if you're a true gamer, you could always pick up this funky X, Square, Circle, Triangle LED light display for £30, just to complete your gaming hub.
